5x best things to do in Alcudia Mallorca

| 5x BEST THINGS TO DO IN ALCUDIA, MALLORCA | A couple of weeks ago, my family came to visit me on this beautiful island. Being away from your friends and family is the only negative thing about traveling. But, if they come to visit it’s so much fun to show them the beauty of the island or place where you are. My mom is totally into local markets and some of you guys on Instagram recommended the weekly market in Alcudia. On Tuesday and Sunday morning you can visit this market (see our full market guide overview). Buying clothes on a market isn’t really my thing, but because you could buy a lot of food and fruit I really liked it. Alcudia is located on the North-side of the Island and is known for the long and wide beaches. You can also find a lot of restaurants, bars and also the nightlife is quite vibrant.

But, this is not the reason why I really loved Alcudia. The reason I really loved this city, is the gorgeous city center. There are a lot of beautiful buildings and cute little streets.

  1. Go to the weekly market on Tuesday or Sunday morning
  2. Take a guided tour. Taking a guided tour is one of the best ways to explore a new city. So below I’ve chosen 3 of my favorite ones. So one for the food lovers, one for the beer lovers (also a good present for your man) and a guided walk tour.
  3. Go to the beach for a relax day to finally read that book that has been laying on your nightstand for over a year
  4. Go dance the night away in the local bars, or take the bus to other cities (like Pollenca, Inca, Deia, Valldemossa)
  5. Stroll through the beautiful old city center and get lost

Whether you’re chasing the best breakfast in Alcudia or searching for the gastronomic gems loved by the locals, the North of the island has a lot of hotspots.

Breakfast in Alcudia:
€€ –> Located in the heart of Puerto de Alcudia, Bistro Mar serves Mediterranean flavors and typical dishes of the Mallorquin cuisine. Enjoy a coffee with the unbeatable sea views.
Lunch in Alcudia:
€€€ –> For good food, excellent staff and the perfect chilling place to eat in Alcudia you go to Ponderosa Beach Club Bar.
Diner in Alcudia:
–> Can Polit Restaurant is perfect when you’re looking for a relaxing place to dine. They serve Mallorcan tapas and are located in the old town of Alcudia.
€€ –> In the port itself there is the New Cacao a tapas bar favored by the locals. The food is excellent and the bar is set in a great central location.
€€€ –> For a special night, try out Macarena de Castro, one of the seven restaurants with a Michelin star on the island. The flavours of the sea, mountains and the forests are the inspiration of the food and they pair it with excellent wines and beers.
