Best time to visit

The Netherlands is a great place to visit all year round. Spring is the best time to see the tulips in bloom, while summer is perfect for exploring the country’s many outdoor attractions. Fall and winter are quieter, but still offer plenty to do, especially in the larger cities.

Everything you should know before you go

Before you travel to the Netherlands, there are a few things you should know. The official language is Dutch, but English is also widely spoken.

The currency is the Euro

We use the standard European two-pin plugs.

The Dutch cuisine is hearty and filling, with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Some popular dishes include Dutch pancakes, stamppot (a mashed potato dish), and erwtensoep (a type of pea soup). But, because our food isn’t that good we’ve adapted all the best cuisines here.

The Netherlands is generally a safe place to travel, but as with any country, it’s always best to exercise caution and be aware of your surroundings. Especially in Amsterdam
