Best hotspots in Pollenca, the secret capital of Mallorca

Pollenca is the perfect town that represents Mallorca. Pollenca is located at the eastern end of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain and is tucked between two beautiful hills. It is the city of music and art and is known for its musicfestival in August and September. There are a lot of hotspots in Pollenca and this city has a lot to offer. Such as the many little boutiques where they sell crafted goods such as jewellery and interior decorations. If you’re really into that you should definitely visit the market in Pollenca every Sunday morning from 8.30-13.00 pm. There is also a market in the port of Pollenca on Wednesdays.

Places to visit in Pollenca:

The Plaça Major is the main square where you also find the 18th century Nostra Senyora Del Angels church. The other main church is also very beautiful and is called ‘the Convent de Sant Domingo. If you want to have a stunning view over the city and if you’re very sporty;). You must climb the Calvary by taking 365 stair treads. (One for each year).

Pollenca also has a lovely large sand beach which lays just a few kilometers away. What makes this beach even better is that there are many cafe’s and restaurants there. Where you can sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful sea views.

  3. A bit pricy: Enjoy their breakfast and lunch options at Llama, the restaurant of W Hotel. You can also eat here, without being a guest at the hotel. 
  4. Other breakfast tip: It is not without reason that this is called the house of health and happiness. Go to Passion Ibiza if you love delicious coffee, juices and superfood shakes. 
  5. Luxury, luxury, luxury: Looking for a culinary journey around the med? Then go to Chiringuito Blue Ibiza. This beach restaurant serves you the best of the best.
