‘It’s good to be Diferent’ is their motto and I couldn’t agree more. Even after living on the island for several years, this is one of those restaurants that keeps me coming back for more. Restaurant Diferent is located in the center of the bustling Cala D’Or. Without a doubt, this is where you want to eat if you’re in this area. With cocktail bars surrounding you it won’t be quiet and boring for sure. This restaurant is a funky fine dining restaurant where Western food meets Oriental. They even have a Thai chef so if you’re a fan of that, you’re in the right place as well.
Restaurant Diferent pair their international menu with the best of the island; wine from Binissalem and Felanitx. As you already know I’m a big fan of the wines from the island. They work with fresh and pure products from the island and that’s why I love to eat here as well. In this hospitable restaurant you can not only enjoy a delicious lunch and/or dinner, but you can also order excellent cocktails. Try the spiced whiskey or my all-time favorite Amaretto sour!

But now that you’re in Cala d’Or you naturally wonder what else you can do there. Logical because this place is more than just a sunny holiday destination. This place is located in the east of Mallorca, the place where you will find many of the most beautiful beaches on the island. It is located above Cala Mondrago, and still below Cala Ratjada. This spectacular coastline full of small picturesque beaches has attracted the attention of mainly many Dutch tourists for years. Cala d’Or has five beaches called Cala Esmeralda, Cala Ferrera, Cala Serena, Cala Gran and Cala d’Or. Thanks to the crystal-clear water this is a perfect place for snorkeling and view one of the many species of fish.
