things to do Seminyak

If you visit Bali, also known as the Island of Gods you must visit Seminyak. Surrounded by the beautiful Indian Ocean, there are numerous things to do in Seminyak; stunning beaches and parks, classical temples, Balinese architecture, coral reefs, and volcanic mountains. One of the best things about Seminyak is it’s relaxed atmosphere. So Seminyak is a place where you can truly unwind and enjoy quality time with family and friends. This place is more busy then Amed and Ubud and more focused on luxe resorts than Canggu.

Essential Things to Know About Seminyak:

Here are some basic things you should know before planning your vacation in Seminyak. Let’s uncover them one by one!

The best time to visit Seminyak is from April to October, when the weather is dry and sunny.

Traffic can be heavy in Seminyak, so it’s worth considering hiring a driver for your stay. Or rent a scooter so you can drive easily to Canggu.

The language in Seminyak is Indonesian, but English is widely spoken, so the language barrier is not an issue.

The currency in Seminyak is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

The best way to visit Seminyak is by scooter or car. Taxis are also readily available in Seminyak, but it’s worth noting that most drivers don’t speak English.

Getting around in Seminyak

Getting around in Seminyak is best to do by scooter in my experience. Of course if you’re relocating to another place like Amed, Ubud or Uluwatu a car is better if you’re bringing suitcases. But if you stay in Seminyak, a scooter is the best option. The prices are between 50.000 IDR – 70.000 IDR which is around €4,60 a day.

In this way, you avoid traffic + bonus (you have a parking space). Important to Know: Driving under the influence of alcohol is not tolerated in Seminyak.
