As you guys already know, I adore Spain and in particular Mallorca. So in this article I’ll share my experience of Hotel Sa Franquesa Nova in Felanitx, which is also my last stop of the ultimate 10 day road trip through Mallorca. This island has everything you want if you love a good road trip. With a 10-day trip you do not have to rush and you can relax and enjoy all the beauty around you. Stop where you want and order some food on the go. Not rushed, just slowly enjoying and relaxing without missing the hotspots of the island. Do you like slow travel? WHAT TO DO IN THE COUNTRYSIDE OF MALLORCA?
After living on this island for three years, I can of course tell you very well what there is to do. One of my favorite parts? The countryside of Mallorca. The culture and life on this island suits me much better. You have more freedom, you live with nature and the seasons. Felanitx is such a pretty town and only 50 kilometers away from Palma. It’s very close to Santanyi and Campos. In the summer everyone lives outside and here is my list of the best things to do in Felanitx.
- Visit the weekly market on Sunday morning at Sa Plaça
- Admire magnificent sea views at Santueri Castle (visit from 10:00-18:00)
- Visit San Salvador Monastery high up in the mountains and enjoy the views of Cabrera island and Cap de Formentor
- Taste local wine at one of the many vineyards
- Go trekking from San Salvador to Felanitx (duration: 3,5 hours)
