Rustic-chic country Hotel Sa Franquesa Nova

Hotel Sa Franquesa Nova

As you guys already know, I adore Spain and in particular Mallorca. So in this article I’ll share my experience of Hotel Sa Franquesa Nova in Felanitx, which is also my last stop of the ultimate 10 day road trip through Mallorca. This island has everything you want if you love a good road trip. With a 10-day trip you do not have to rush and you can relax and enjoy all the beauty around you. Stop where you want and order some food on the go. Not rushed, just slowly enjoying and relaxing without missing the hotspots of the island. Do you like slow travel? Then you have come to the right place at this beautiful rustic-chic hotel. Today in the spotlight: Hotel Sa Franquesa Nova.

After living on this island for three years, I can of course tell you very well what there is to do. One of my favorite parts? The countryside of Mallorca. The culture and life on this island suits me much better. You have more freedom, you live with nature and the seasons. Felanitx is such a pretty town and only 50 kilometers away from Palma. It’s very close to Santanyi and Campos. In the summer everyone lives outside and here is my list of the best things to do in Felanitx.

  1. Visit the weekly market on Sunday morning at Sa Plaça
  2. Admire magnificent sea views at Santueri Castle (visit from 10:00-18:00)
  3. Visit San Salvador Monastery high up in the mountains and enjoy the views of Cabrera island and Cap de Formentor
  4. Taste local wine at one of the many vineyards
  5. Go trekking from San Salvador to Felanitx (duration: 3,5 hours)

Festivities in Felanitx

  • Feria de Mayo (May)
  • Sant Agusti (August)
  • Sant Miquel fair (September)
  • Fira del Pebre bord (October)

This rustic-chic palace in the middle of the countryside of Felanitx is characterized by a long history of genuine hospitality and unforgettable experiences. In this hotel you can experience the Mediterranean way of live at its best. The historic elements of this mansion’s historic building are combined with clean design and relaxing vibes. Pureness, light and elegance are the three keywords for this hotel.

The outdoor area is characterized by the beautiful salt water swimming pool and with the beautiful sundeck it is super attractive to spend a wonderful day. You will not only find beautiful flowers around this pool, but also a lot of animals. Think of a lot of chickens, cats and horses.
